Our mission is to provide a healthy environment and atmosphere on world class terrain for our athletes to flourish.

Program Description

The Team GIVE’R Freeride Club is an advanced level, competitive freeski team training out of Red Mountain, BC. The 7 month program is designed to expose athletes to the best resources and personnel; accelerating the training they need to pursue the highest levels of performance. During our dryland training period, we work with sports science professionals and elite level athletes to nourish the body & mind for the upcoming ski season. We also offer optional AirBag, Water Ramp and Trampoline training camps. Our coaching staff will be focusing on all aspects of freeskiing including; proper technique, big mountain approach and line choice, steep skiing, powder skiing, air awareness & tricks, terrain park skills and video analysis. The Story

Athlete Eligibility

  • 9 - 18yrs.

  • Athletes must be comfortable skiing black runs at Red Mountain Resort

  • Confident at higher speeds in trees, bumps and powder

  • Have proper body position and can adapt to most terrain on the mountain

  • Can drop small cliffs/jumps and land balanced

  • Athletes aged 12 and older are encouraged to participate in at least one IFSA event during the season, but it is not mandatory. For U12 and first-year athletes, the focus is on building skills and confidence first - competition becomes an option once both the athlete and their coaches feel they are ready. IFSA Regional Events are a great entry point for newer competitors, while still being suitable for all levels. Once the competition schedule is released in the fall, we’ll review it together and see which event(s) might be the best fit.

“When you're part of Team GIVE'R, you're part of the team. Regardless of age, every athlete has access to the same opportunities and resources — whether you're nine years old or sixteen.

That's an important part to be a Team GIVE'R athlete: truly belonging, and having access to the same level of support, resources, and expertise across our club. That means working with our diverse group of ski coaches, joining preseason training with professional practitioners, working with our mental performance coach, getting feedback from our technical director, reviewing video with our coaches, and building and breaking down competition game plans.

When you're on Team GIVE'R, you're on OUR team. We accept you for who you are, and we want you to bring your passion, energy, and enthusiasm to the club — that's what we want to see from our athletes.

We value a strong, positive attitude, good behaviour, sportsmanship, and being a true teammate. These are the qualities that define the culture and ethos of Team GIVE'R.”
