& Mission
The Team GIVE’R Foundation provides direct support to youth and young adults to pursue their passions and chase after their dreams. Based on some of Kenneth’s biggest loves in life: skiing, cooking and biking, we strive to support and give back to those in need. We want to empower the next generation in fulfilling their goals and become positive contributors to society. The Team GIVE’R Foundation is dedicated to supporting children and young adults through exposure to resources that contribute to their ability to develop, grow and succeed in life.
Kenneth McAlpine
Kenneth was the most caring person I knew on this planet and an absolute best friend a guy could ever ask for. He’d always remind us the word GIVE’R meant to give back and he lived his life devoting and being loyal to his many friends, family, faith and community. He was an ultralight beam full of passion and ambition for life.
After the Amazing Race Canada Kenneth and I spoke with youth about: overcoming challenges, believing in yourself, treating others how you want to be treated and what it means to GIVE’R in life. Kenneth was determined to transform children’s lives and will always be the best role model to look up to. Although his story was cut way too short, his legacy and spirit live on in us forever. This foundation is a living memorial to Kenneth.
Give Back
Kenneth was the ultimate friend to those in need. He believed strongly in supporting youth organizations in the communities he lived in.
From his years of running youth bible camps at the First Presbyterian Church in Collingwood, to mentoring younger cooks in the kitchen, to coaching countless ski teams. Kenneth was a leader and a role model for youth in any community he lived. He also inspired a nation to GIVE’R through his incredible experience on The Amazing Race Canada television show. Kenneth was always looking for a way to Give Back and lend a helping hand. He demonstrated his kind, wholehearted nature wherever he went. And we feel one of the best ways to honour Kenneth is to give back in his name and support people in pursuing their passions and chasing their dreams.
Every dollar donated to the Team GIVE’R Foundation is used to directly support youth and young adults in the Collingwood, Ontario and Rossland, BC communities. We provide opportunities for people to get into the sport of skiing or young adults who aspire to advance their athletic careers. We also provide financial bursaries to students pursuing an education in culinary arts.
