Buckle up for a cinematic ride like no other as Team GIVE'R proudly presents an awe-inspiring ski film that dives deep into the heart, soul, and mind of a skier! The community is invited to The Bailey Theatre in Trail on Nov. 3 for Calm Beneath Castles, a new Matchstick Productions film that celebrates the essence of finding solace in nature and becoming one with the mountains.

Funds raised will directly support aspiring local youth athletes on their journey to becoming the next legends in the freeride world by covering coaching expenses for out-of-town competitions throughout the winter.

Thank you to all 40+ youth that signed up to ski with our local pros 🤘 It's amazing to see so many kids on skis, loving life, sliding down mountains, and learning life skills from their mentors. Rossland has a special way of giving back to its community and we are happy to provide a platform to promote a healthy active lifestyle. A big shout out to all of the coaches for making it such a special opportunity for these young shredders!

2nd annual - Local Legends Freeski Day

Presented by The North Face

• One day freeski camp for youth aged 9-18yrs. 

• Ski with the pros and well known athletes in Rossland

• Learn life skills, both physical and mental, and become confident skier

• Coaches/Mentors: Dane Tudor, Mike Hopkins, Jeff Ashton, Kirsty Exner, Jess Kuzik, Ryan Lachapelle, Jamie Rizzuto, Sean Ennis, Simon Hillis (TBD)

WHO - Youth aged 9-18yrs: Strong intermediate to expert skiers

WHAT - all funds raised will be donated to the Team GIVE'R Foundation to help kids get into the sport of skiing and support those striving to chase their dreams and follow their passions.

WHERE - Red Mountain Resort

WHEN - Sunday January 14, 2024. Post ski apres in the Conference Room from 3 - 4:30pm. Food provided and prizes to be given out!

Event Description: Experience a beautiful nature walk through the forests and trails of Duntroon Highlands with 6 Food & Beverage sampling stations along the way. We pair up top culinary experts with craft beverage suppliers to serve up the best that South Georgian Bay has to offer. Fun games in the mix and an emphasis on the after party back at the Highlands House with live music, more food & beverage, a silent auction, Bare Axe Throwing (NEW this year!) and closing speeches from our award recipients. The 1st ever Local Legends Freeski Day was a huge success! We had over 40 youth and nine coaches spending the day together shredding RED and passing on their expertise to the younger generation. The kids were stoked all day long and smiles were beaming during our apres wrap up in the lodge. This is what skiing is all about! Sharing the stoke and giving back to the groms, all in support of the Team GIVE’R Foundation. Thank you everyone for making it such a memorable day!
